biography

Helen is an international photographer specialising in interior and exterior living spaces and lifestyle. Born in Zimbabwe, Helen trained and studied photography in Harare and London.

In the early 80s Helen joined a team of international photographers based in Zimbabwe to record the final years of the Rhodesian conflict.  One of her last commissions in Zimbabwe, before moving to South Africa, was to photograph Bob Marley and the Wailers on tour during the country's independence celebrations.

In 1984, following a period of commercial and advertising photography in South Africa, Helen moved to London and worked in photographic research and editing. Several years later she returned to her true vocation and took up the camera once again.  Her work has been published all over the world in brochures, advertising, books, magazines and newspapers.

Her varied and extensive commercial experience is shown through her work, which often captures an alternative perspective.

Helen is available for commissions both in the UK and internationally.

Member of the Association of Photographers. RHS Photographic Committee Member and Judge.
